Hands-on experience, now focused on better tree decisions.
Arborflow Holistic Tree Consulting is led by Nicholas Nielsen, an AQF Level 5 qualified consulting arborist. Nick also works as a Trainer and Assessor with RelyOn Australia.
Nick brings more than a decade of hands-on arboriculture experience from working with trees on the ground and in the canopy. That practical background gives him a clear understanding of how tree-work decisions, growing conditions and site pressures can affect a tree’s health, structure and future management.
His love of nature led him from practical tree work into consulting and education. His aim is to help tree owners, students and emerging arborists understand trees as living systems, assess the available evidence and make informed decisions before treating removal as the only option.
Arborflow takes a comprehensive, nature-aligned approach—looking beyond individual symptoms to understand the tree, its soil, water, surrounding ecosystem and the people who share the site. This is a place for people who value trees and want to learn how to care for them well. When removal is genuinely necessary, that conclusion should follow careful assessment rather than assumption.
